On August 10, 2017th at the initiative of the FSVPS and the Government of the Belgorod region in Belgorod was held a meeting on the topic «Export of Russian livestock products. Problems and ways to solve them. «The event was attended by about 100 people: representatives of the regional government, the central office of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision, the territorial departments of the FSVPS, the subject departments of veterinary medicine, as well as representatives of holdings and companies interested in promoting their products to foreign markets.

A.Daushev the head of the department for veterinary supervision of export-import transactions in transport and international cooperation of the FSVPS told the audience the prospects of export of Russian livestock products to foreign markets, including China, Vietnam, Hong Kong, EU and other countries. He noted that the assistance to Russian producers of animal products in gaining access to the markets of foreign countries is an important activity of the FSVPS. The meeting in such a format is held for the first time and the need for it has long overdue.

Over the past few years, exports of major species of Russian livestock products have increased significantly. In particular, in terms of meat and subproducts, exports in 2016 increased by more than two times compared to 2014. Positive dynamics in work with foreign colleagues can be traced. The speaker talked in detail about the work of the FSVPS in this direction, noting that the markets of South-East Asia and the Middle East are of greatest interest to us at the moment. At the same time, he stressed that one of the main obstacles is the unfavorable epizootic situation for a number of diseases and, first of all, African swine fever and bird flu.

The accents were also made on the need to strengthen the control over the export of products at all levels, including the need to introduce regional monitoring and use of the FSVPS information systems.
